I have posted some photos from my archive in my
facebook page, images from 2003-2005 when I used to work for a national newspaper back in Peru.
In those days I was as well documenting metal concerts, specifically underground metal concerts. Metal music and all its sub-genders are still quite unknown in the mainstream in Peru therefore if we mention black metal or death metal most of those bands play in small pubs in the outskirts of Lima.
These images are from those extreme genders, black metal and death metal as you can see by their outfits but despite it may look like very dangerous and aggressive people, in fact, in these concerts the people were more calm than in others I have been, they were more in their own world screaming the songs and moving their heads up and down. Nobody minded I was photographing them.
